Option 1
Delete your account inside the app
Open Profile
Open the Prabhat Kiran app and select Profile.
Confirm account
Sign in to the reader account that you want to delete.
Select deletion
Choose Account delete करें from the profile controls.
Final confirmation
Read the warning and select Account Delete करें.
After completion, the same account data cannot be restored. You may create a new reader account later, but previous cloud profile and saved preferences will not return.
Option 2
Request deletion without app access
If you uninstalled the app, changed devices or cannot sign in, send an email from the address associated with your account. For a phone-based account, include the phone number with country code. Use the subject Prabhat Kiran reader account deletion.

Do not send passwords, OTP codes, payment information or unrelated identity documents. We will ask only for limited information reasonably needed to verify account ownership.

Data deleted with the reader account

| Public reader profile | Name, email, phone, date of birth, profile image URL, provider and account timestamps associated with the reader profile are deleted. |
| Preferences | Cloud-stored language, theme, interested categories and notification preferences linked to the profile are deleted. |
| Saved content | Cloud-synced saved story or ePaper identifiers associated with the reader account are deleted. |
Bookmarks or cached information stored only on the device may remain until app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
Limited exceptions
Data that may be retained
A minimal deletion-request confirmation, fraud-prevention or security audit record may be retained for up to 180 days. Information required for legal compliance, dispute preservation, regulatory obligations or enforcement of rights may be retained for the applicable legally required period.
Newsroom employee accounts, published stories, ePaper archives, editorial records, advertising/business records and ERP data are separate from public reader accounts and are not deleted through this reader-account process.
What happens next
Verification and completion timeline
- In-app deletion is initiated immediately after successful account confirmation.
- External requests are reviewed and may require limited ownership verification.
- We aim to complete verified external requests as quickly as reasonably possible, normally within 30 days.
- If a legal, security or technical reason delays completion, the requester may be informed where appropriate.
